Plus Loans from NextStudent Available For Fall Semester and During the Year

The fall semester at college is just about to begin, and many parents wonder if they are in a position to help their children with their education costs. College funding is still available, now and throughout the year, for parents who take out a PLUS Loan – Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students, according to NextStudent, the premier education funding company based in Phoenix.

NextStudent offers PLUS Loans with rates as low as 6.25 percent along with benefits, including a 2 percent rate reduction following the first 48 months of on-time payments, and an additional .25 percent rate reduction when parent borrowers repay with Auto Debit.

Parent borrowers easily can receive a PLUS Loan because the loans are not based on financial need. An easy, fast preapproval process enables parent borrowers to receive the funds they need without having to wait long periods of time.

Receive up to 100 Percent of Education Costs

Up to 100 percent of education costs are available, less financial aid received, so that borrowers can make sure their children cover the costs of tuition, fees, housing, transportation and supplies.

With NextStudent’s federal PLUS Loans parents have the option to borrow throughout the year. For 2006-07 parents can borrow up through May 31, 2007 to cover all education expenses for students. The loans also can reimburse parents who already paid tuition and other expenses.

Federal PLUS Loans qualify for federal loan consolidation and interest may be tax-deductible. Terms for repayment usually are 10 years. The repayment terms starts within 60 days of the final disbursement. In addition, there never are prepayment penalties.

PLUS Loan Features

NextStudent offers parent borrowers great benefits and incentives on federal PLUS Loans:

• Receive a 3 percent cash rebate on the remaining principal balance after the first 12 months of consecutive on-time payments.
• Easy Application Process with E-Signature. Apply online and be qualified for a PLUS Loan in minutes. In addition, NextStudent has a “second look” feature that is available to borrowers who initially are denied due to unresolved credit issues.
• NextStudent’s PLUS Credit Resolution Team has an 87 percent success rate at resolving borrowers’ credit problems that result in funded PLUS Loans.
• Various PLUS Loan repayment options, including deferred repayment when a student is enrolled at least half-time at school.

When planning their financial strategy, parent borrowers of college students can receive reasonable rates, benefits and incentives when they take out a PLUS Loan. The loans feature generous terms and are preferable to most other consumer loans. Parent borrowers can help their children at any time throughout the year, even if the semester is just weeks away.

NextStudent believes that getting an education is the best investment you can make, and it is dedicated to helping you pursue your education dreams by making college funding as easy as possible. Learn more about Student Loans at http://www.nextstudent.com/.

We’ve all been in this kind of situation before – it’s two weeks until you will receive your next pay check and your car just broke down. It needs a new starter, which will cost at least $200. However, you only have $250 to last you until your next payday. Not only are you unsure of where to obtain the money, and without a vehicle you can’t even get to work!

This is not an uncommon scenario, as many will find themselves short on cash and in need of a quick cash loan at one time or another. If you do not have an emergency fund or a savings account, then an event such as this may cause you extreme stress. This is the time to try a payday loan.

When faced with a need for instant cash, the first thing you might find yourself doing would be searching your home for items to pawn. Basically, a pawnbroker purchases your valuables, such as expensive electronics, jewellery, tools or musical instruments for cash. They usually provide you with the loan amount you request as long as it does not exceed 1/3 of what they could actually recoup on resale of the items if you were to default on the loan. The pawnbroker would hold the item or items for a set period of time to allow you to buy them back. The money required to regain your possessions would be the cash amount loaned to you by the pawnbroker plus the agreed upon fee for the loan.

If you need fast cash or extra spending money, you now have the option to receive a short-term payday loan. Obtaining a payday loan would be an easier alternative to receiving instant cash than it would be to go through the hassle of pawning your valuables. By turning to a pawnbroker, you would also run the risk of losing your prized possessions.

Payday loans are short-term loans for amounts of approximately $100 to $1,000. The life of a payday loan is the time it takes for you to receive your next pay check. This could be a week, two weeks or one month depending on your pay schedule. If you have bad credit, this would not be a problem, as most payday loan establishments do not perform credit checks. Those that do, only do so to make sure that you have not filed for bankruptcy in the past and will not file for bankruptcy in the near future. All lending institutions want to ensure that they will recoup their money plus their fee.

The requirements for payday loans are:

· You must be at least 18 years of age.

· You must have been employed at your present job for at least 3 months.

· Your must have your pay check deposited directly into your bank account.

· You must have verifiable income of at least $400 per week.

Payday loans are usually deposited into your bank account within 24 hours of applying. Some payday lenders, will have payday loans available the very day you apply and often within hours.

If you find that you are in need of a cash advance for a financial emergency or just for extra spending money, obtaining payday loans is a simple alternative to pawning your valuable possessions.

Free Hoodia? What You Should Know Before Trying A Free Hoodia Sample

Disadvantages: Recurring Billing

Most free ...

If you’re looking for an easy way to lose weight quickly, you’ve probably heard about Hoodia Gordonii. Hoodia is a plant grown in the desert of South Africa. It has been used for years by the local tribesman to suppress their appetite when they go on long hunting trips. There is a molecule in it that fools your brain into thinking that you’re full and so you don’t want to eat.

Consequently, Hoodia can help you lose weight by suppressing your appetite and turning off your desire to overeat. In studies, people taking this miracle plant extract have cut their calorie intake by up to 1000 calories per day, which can add up to substantial weight loss.

One of the more interesting developments in the Hoodia market is that many companies are now giving out free Hoodia samples. These can range from a few days to a few weeks supply. The hope is that you are going to try their product and like it so much you’ll want to continue using it.

Free Hoodia samples are not a new concept – companies give out samples all the time. Giving out free samples is a proven way to get people to know about your product, try it and get familiar with what it can do for them.

So what do you need to know before you try a free Hoodia offer? Well, there are advantages and disadvantages to most of these offers. Here’s a few things you need to know before you try one:

Advantages: Free Hoodia!

Free samples come in pure Hoodia capsules, fat-burners (where other fat-burning ingredients are included like green tea, capsaicin, etc.) and even weight loss patches. Most samples give you 1 week to 1 months worth of free product for you to try.

That means you can actually see if that particular product works for you and you can probably lose some weight into the bargain – all for free (or a very small shipping/handling charge). Not a bad deal.

Disadvantages: Recurring Billing

Most free Hoodia samples will enroll you in their recurring billing program when you request your free sample. That means that if you get a free 1 month sample, probably around the time it runs out, you’ll receive another 1 – 2 months supply that has automatically been charged to your credit card.

This isn’t a bad thing if you really like the product as it saves you the time of reordering. Plus most recurring billing programs actually give you a discount because you’ve enrolled in their autoship program. So if you were going to order again anyway, you can save some money this way.

But if you decide the product is not for you, you’ve got to be quick to cancel before they charge you for the next months supply. This means making sure you check their terms and conditions before ordering your free sample.

When checking terms and conditions, look for a clear way (a website or a phone number) to cancel the autoshipping program. Most reputable companies put this in their FAQ’s or terms and conditions section. With all of the competition on the market these days, these companies really don’t want to get a bad rap. If they do they know their sales will suffer.

So those are a few things you need to know about free Hoodia samples. If you’re unsure about a free sample, many websites will give you the option of trying a sample or simply buying a full bottle supply instead (this way you avoid the recurring billing program).

Just remember to follow the instructions on the Hoodia bottle and give it a few days to feel the full appetite suppressing effects. And please remember to consult your doctor before making any changes to your diet or lifestyle.

The world of shopping on the internet can be a difficult one. Many shoppers have purchased items online, thinking they found a great deal, only to learn that another store offered the same price for significantly less. The best way to ensure you find the best deals online, is to use shopping comparison websites.

The types of shopping comparison websites vary, depending on what you are looking for. There are some sites that show the retail price compared to their own prices, while others show their rates compared to retail, and one or two other stores. The third type of shopping comparison website will show the rates at several sites, without actually selling the product.

Amazon (http://www.amazon.com) is one type of shopping comparison website, with a variety of rates available. They list their price, the retail price, and prices of the item available through their marketplace area. The marketplace area lists other stores and individuals selling the item in new and used condition. Take for example the latest book by best selling author James Patterson. In their marketplace, a used copy of the book sells for $7.50 plus $3.99 for shipping, while new copies start at $8.49 plus $3.99 shipping. Amazon also lists the book’s retail price as $27.99, with their discounted rate at $15.39 and eligible for free shipping.

If you are looking for great deals on Amazon, Secret Online Deals (http://www.secretonlinedeals.com) is a nice shopping comparison website to add to your list. Rather than list one specific deal in a certain category, the website offers several deals each day from different categories. They highlight the best deals available from Amazon, with a comparison of Amazon’s regular price, Amazon’s special sale price, and the retail price. The site is updated daily, and users who sign up for their free website are treated to special deals before they’re opened to the general public.

Google Products (http://www.google.com) is a shopping comparison site where the products are not actually in stock on the website. Instead you search by the item you are looking for, and Google will compare the different shopping sites, and list their results. You can then arrange the items by price (low to high, or high to low), location, or store name. Its an easy to use shopping comparison website that lets you find some of the best prices available.

Shopping comparison websites are a necessary addition to any shopper’s arsenal. The best shoppers, and the ones who find the best deals online, know that their first stop is always a shopping comparison website. If you were attempting to find the best deals on your own, it might takes hours, days, or even weeks of shopping around to find the best price. Attempting to do find the best deals off the web, could lead to misunderstandings, large amounts spent on gas money, and items not in stock. Using shopping comparison websites will guarantee that you find the best prices, and that the items are always in stock somewhere on the web.

Being alone while traveling can be a major problem, depending upon where you are. While alone you are setting yourself up for a variety of problems that could be as common as getting robbed to possibly being killed or kidnapped. So when your traveling companions ditch you, it can be quite serious.

If you found yourself in a situation where you were ditched by your companions, you need to assess the situation. First you need to think about how well you know these people. If you know them really well, the odds of them totally ditching you are probably relatively slim. Maybe they were just tired of dealing with you for the day, but regardless, odds are in a few hours you’ll meet up again and things will be just fine.

If you are however traveling with people that you don’t really know, them ditching you could be a sign that you’ll never see them again. While this doesn’t seem like that big of an issue, it can be quite serious depending upon what that entails. If they have your camping or survival equipment, then it can be extremely serious, especially if you are lost in the woods. But if they just ditched you in the middle of the city, you still have options.

The first thing that you are giong to want to do is remain calm. Just because you might not know this area all that well, doesn’t mean that you completely lost by yourself. Collect yourself and try to get some assistance in finding your way around. You are now on your own, so you’re going to need to learn how to communicate with locals if you don’t speak the language, you are going to need to find a place to stay if you don’t already have one, and you are going to have to find a way to eat if you have no real money.

If you do find that you don’t have money because you were camping out, your best bet would be to communicate with someone back home and see if they could wire transfer you money so that you could finish off your trip safely. If this isn’t possible, then you need to make sure that you are always staying around people during the night, and during the day you’ll have to find a means of obtaining food. This could mean working for a local restaurant as a dishwasher in exchange for meals, it could mean fishing, or you could go foraging for berries. The main thing that you need to keep in mind is that you need to eat, so find a way to do so.

If you have no lodging, then you’ll have to find a place to stay as well. I would suggest sleeping in the parks or by the water where there are a lot of people during the day. This will allow you to stay safer and warmer, plus if you sleep during the day, you aren’t as apt to be harassed by the police, because it will look as if you are sunning out. Another option is to barter for a tent of some sort so that you can use that as an enclosure.

The main thing you’ll want to do however, is keep yourself safe, fed, and clean. So, if you need to, go to a church or the local embassy and see what they can do for you. If that doesn’t work, you might want to look into changing your plane ticket in order to go home sooner.

Cash Crate is considered a “get paid to” program that pays you for signing up for offers, for reading emails and for taking surveys among other things. Out of all the “get paid to” programs I have looked at so far Cash Crate is the best. It is quick and simple to register with them and you can be making money immediately.

In addition to my own experiences with Cash Crate I have searched for other reviews and have found almost all positive remarks. This is a legitimate company that has been in business for over a year and has paid out tons of money.

Another thing that I like VERY much about Cash Crate is the fact that they have a forum where members can discuss the best ways to get the most out of the program. This is invaluable if you’ve never participated in a “get paid to” program before. Take full advantage of all the knowledge there.

How does it work?
Companies need people to review and try their products and services and they are often willing to pay for this. Cash Crate matches people with the advertisers and they get paid by the advertiser and then pass 75% of their payment along to you. This works very well for everyone involved and is totally sustainable which keeps Cash Crate in business.

How to get paid
Cash Crate has a minimum payout of $10 which they pay via check. It is so easy to reach $10 with them. You can reach that within an hour of signing up with them just by signing up for the free offers. In addition, they have a daily survey that pays $0.80 which means another $24 a month.

Payments are processed each month on the 20th so you can expect your earnings to arrive at the beginning of the following month.

Who can join?
Cash Crate accepts members worldwide. That means no matter where you live you can join. Members from English speaking countries do get the best offers though. Another plus is that Cash Crate accepts members as young as 13. What a great part time job for a teen!

Referrals
If you are from a country outside of the U.S. and Canada you can still make loads of money through Cash Crate’s referral program. It is one of the best that I have seen yet. I’ve compared it with other “get paid to” referral programs and it beats them all hands down.

Cash Crate will pay you 20% of your first level referrals earnings and an additional 10% on second level referrals (the referrals of your referrals). Plus they increase the payout amount based on the number of referrals you have. At the top level you get paid 30% for your first level referrals and 20% for second level referrals.

Many of the successful members of Cash Crate are from outside the U.S. and they are making a nice income simply by referring others from English speaking countries.

Tips to be successful with Cash Crate
1.	Sign up with your main email address so you receive all the notifications from Cash Crate. You should also use this address when completing offers because it will make the payment process quicker. When you complete an offer the email addresses are compared and it should match your sign up address.

2.	After you sign up make sure to go to the forums. There is tons of great information there that will help you maximize your earnings with Cash Crate. Benefit from the experience of others.

3.	Refer others to Cash Crate. Make sure you don’t spam, but one really easy way to make money through Cash Crate is to refer others.

Rock’s Hidden Gems

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, SUMMER 67 – Leigh Stephens, Dick Peterson and Paul Whaley otherwise known as ‘Blue Cheer’ gathered at Amigo studios to record their debut album ‘Vincebus Eruptum’.

In a rock era dominated by the psychedelic sounds of Jefferson Airplane, the Britt Pop storm of the Beatles and the R&B rock of The Who and The Credence Clearwater Revival, Blue Cheer knew that it would require all of these elements plus a definitive ingredient to both stand out and crack the pop charts.

You can’t do that!’ exclaimed producer Abe ‘Voco’ Kesh as the trio turned the gain, bass and volume controls up to ten and began to blast out their surfer-blues fuelled grooves. Loud, loose and unrehearsed, ‘Voco’ later told various LA music publications that Vincebus Eruptum was the worst project he’d ever worked on. This opinion didn’t stop him accepting his share of the acclaim when the opening track – a juiced up version of Eddie Cochran’s surfer hit, Summertime Blues’ (which later became a significant hit for The Who in 1970) – reached the number one spot in the American pop charts.

Shortly after this Guitarist Leigh Stephens, and his super groove style, parted ways with the band and was replaced with a more conventional blues man. But the damage had been done and the late sixties and early seventies saw the birth of acts including Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. This is when the term ‘Heavy Metal’ came in to common use. It’s often argued whether it was Sabbath or Zepp’ that were responsible for this. Why not Blue Cheer? Because although people with little knowledge of rock music often mistake it for metal, a keen ear will hear that there’s something else brewing – something different.

So what is the correct genre term for Blue Cheer’s debut album? It’s actually a term that wasn’t conceived until the early nineties – when the rock scene was flooded with popular acts like grunge gods Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden, Nu-Metal nonsense such as Limp Bizkit and Korn and the Indie Phenomenon was poised to take full swing. It was in these highly commercial times (as were the sixties) that ‘Stoner Rock’ was born. Like Blue Cheer it was more than just a new kind of metal as the setting was less likely to be a steel works in Birmingham or a mosh-pit in some grubby club or concert hall but a 67 Chevy cruising through the desert, a strip club you may see in the movies or a psychedelic trip through space.

No-one really knows why they refer to it as stoner rock as most of the acts are under the influence of alcohol rather than the influence of opium as in the sixties but the one thing they all have in common is the deep, bass driven grooves that Blue Cheer gave birth to all those years ago. Although you can detect the influences of acts such as Led Zepp, Hendrix, Deep Purple and in particular Sabbath, Stoner Rock, along with Vincebus Eruptum, has no true home on the shelf at HMV.

So if your bored with the same old classics, rap metal, indie, thrash, punk and 21st century rock and you don’t mind a bit of noise, then why not check out some of the following albums

Blue Cheer – ‘Vincebus Eruptum’, Unida – ‘Coping With the Urban Coyote’, Kyuss – ‘And the Circus Leaves Town’, Cathedral – ‘Caravan Beyond Redemption’, Dozer – ‘In the Trail of a Comet’, Alabama Thunderpussy – Staring at the Divine’, Witchcraft – ‘Witchcraft’, Sixty Watt Shaman – ‘Ultra Electric’ or many others at www.stonerrock.com

How to use the NADA Book to value campers

So you think you’ve found the camper of your dreams. The camper is on sale for $14,995. That sounds like a reasonable price, but how do you know what it is really worth? Finding the value of a camper is a little different than finding the value of an automobile. The automobile industry relies on three different pricing guides: Kelley Blue Book, NADA Guide and the Black Book. The RV industry has only one widely used guide, the NADA Recreational Vehicle Appraisal Guide. Kelley Blue Book does make an RV Guide also, but it is not widely used and most banks will only lend according to the NADA book value.

The NADA guide is an excellent tool for determining the true value of a camper. This is also the book that your bank will look at when determining how much they will loan you for the camper. To determine the NADA value of your dream camper, you will need a few pieces of information. Have the following information ready before you try to appraise the camper: Year, Make (i.e. Jayco Eagle), Model (i.e. 31BHS), Type (i.e. Travel Trailer, Fifth Wheel, etc) as well as a list of optional equipment (i.e. awning, electric jacks, etc). Next you will need to access the NADA Guide. You can do this online at www.nadaguides.com . The online consumer version of NADA only lists “Low Retail” and “Average Retail”. This is different from the true dealer (or bank) NADA guide values. A dealer (or bank) NADA guide will list “Used Wholesale/Trade-In” and “Used Retail”. Used Wholesale/Trade-In is generally how much money the dealer will have invested in the camper (plus or minus about 20%). The Used Retail is generally what the dealer will have listed as the “sticker price”. The dealer’s asking or sale price will fall somewhere between those two values. The Dealer’s “Used Retail” price corresponds very closely to the consumer version’s “Average Retail” price.

Once you have accessed NADA online, select the appropriate year, make and model of the camper. You will then need to select any optional equipment (a note of caution, the NADA guide will tell you what equipment is already included in the price, don’t select those options or you will not get an accurate value). Once you have selected all applicable optional equipment, click the “Get Used Value” button. You will be shown the “Low Retail” and the “Average Retail”.

Ok, so you have your values, but is that what the camper is really worth? Notnecessarily. You need to take into account the condition of the camper, whether or not it has a warranty, how much will be tacked on in “prep fees” or “doc fees” as well as any damage or missing equipment. A camper that is in “like-new” condition is obviously worth a lot more than one in poor condition. Now that you have your appraisal prices, you can use that as a starting point for negotiations, and believe me, there is always room for negotiation. Typically speaking, a dealer will be willing to take about 25% less than retail value. If the camper is in excellent condition and/or has a warranty, the dealer may only take 20% less than retail. If the camper is in poor condition, you may be able to get it for up to 30% less than retail. So, while the NADA is a useful guide for letting you know the “appraised value” of a camper, remember that it should only be used as a guideline and a jumping off point to start your negotiations.
